Maintain clear airflow while blocking unwanted pests with this adaptable window screening system. A network of twenty-six integrated magnets runs along the central seam, automatically drawing the fabric closed the moment you step through. This continuous seal eliminates gaps traditional screens leave behind, delivering reliable insect protection without obstructing natural ventilation or daylight.
Selecting the Correct Dimensions
Picking the right panel size prevents loose overhang and ensures a tight fit against your existing architecture. Measure from the interior wall edges inward to calculate the exact width and height needed for optimal coverage.
Available Panel Sizes
| Panel Category | Internal Window Opening (cm) | Recommended Room Placement |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 50–70 wide × 60–100 height | Utility rooms, attics, detached garages |
| Medium | 70–100 wide × 80–120 height | Main kitchens, master bedrooms, studies |
| Large | 100–130 wide × 100–150 height | Sliding patio doors, bay windows, French openings |
Following an interior measurement approach keeps the mesh flush with your existing sill and prevents drafts around the perimeter.
Package Contents and Custom Fitting
Every shipment arrives ready for immediate implementation with all necessary attachment components. The shipping box contains:
- One adhesive-backed mesh panel matching your selected dimensions
- A full spool of double-sided mounting tape
- A visual instructional booklet
- A compact fabric pouch for off-season organization
Customizing the fit is straightforward if the delivered panel exceeds your actual opening. Simple household scissors allow you to slice away the excess material along the outer borders. The central magnetic channel continues operating flawlessly after resizing, as long as the internal wiring remains properly aligned during the cutting process.
Tool-Free Mounting Process
Eliminate complex hardware setups and permanent drilling. This screening solution adheres directly to your current framing in approximately five minutes using only pressure-sensitive tape. Follow these steps to achieve a secure yet removable finish:
- Wipe down the inner perimeter thoroughly and allow the surface to dry completely.
- Apply the provided adhesive tape along the entire frame border, ensuring full contact.
- Press the mesh panel firmly onto the tape, smoothing outward to eliminate bubbles.
- Verify that the overlapping steel wires connect evenly to guarantee automatic sealing.
- Lift gently from the bottom edge to detach for cleaning, then fold flat for compact storage.
Automatic Closure for Daily Convenience
The pass-through mechanism removes the need to manually hold the barrier while entering or exiting. Part the center strip, walk through freely, and let the embedded magnets snap the panels back together instantly. Families with active children or dogs particularly benefit from this motion-sensing design, as it maintains an uninterrupted shield while keeping high-traffic areas easily accessible.
Long-Term Durability and Seasonal Maintenance
Engineered to withstand repeated seasonal cycles, the fine polyester weave resists punctures while staying highly breathable. Routine cleaning involves peeling the unit away, rinsing with mild soap and lukewarm water, and allowing it to air dry completely. The resilient construction retains its structural integrity and magnetic pull across multiple years of use, offering a sustainable replacement for disposable screening options.
